SWEA Washington DC will award up to $5,000 in Donations for 2025 to organizations located within the region of the SWEA Washington DC Chapter; Washington DC, Maryland, or Virginia, towards an activity or project that preserves or promotes the Swedish culture and language, through a specific activity, or the arts with concerts, theater and exhibitions, or via education.

We’re excited you are interested in our Donations and look forward to receiving your application, once you fulfill the requirements below:

An application for Donations should include:

– Name of the organization/group and its purpose. Please provide a URL, if there is one.

– Information about the number of Members

– What a Donation would be used for

– Amount applied for

– Other factors to consider i.e. why should SWEA Washington DC support the work

Where should the application be sent? All application materials should be sent via email to the SWEA Washington DC Donation and Scholarship Committee to  sweadcdonation@gmail.com

Deadline to apply is October 15, 2025
